“Transcend” Release Update

As the previous entry may have suggested, I was highly disappointed to find that some of this new batch of CDs have errors too. However, upon further investigation there are at least some (hopefully most) which are fine. I’m unfortunately having to run through an error check process for each CD which will prove quite time consuming. So far I have managed to get through 10 in the last half hour, and of those all were fine.

I will refrain from putting any purchase links up just for the moment, until I’m more certain of the number of CDs which are error free. But if you were to walk up to my house I would sell you a copy, which I think is enough to call the album offically released! Expect purchase information within the next day if all goes well.

The album will be available through PayPal for $AU20 (incl. postage) to everywhere. That’s about $15 US or 12 Euro.

If there happens to be a very limited number of CDs available and you’d like to guarantee a copy, then send an email to:

“Transcend” Release Date

After a few more hassles and delays the duplication guys finally seem to have their act together. I received word that this time everything has gone fine, and so the new release date should be late on friday, 5th August 2005. I’m crossing my fingers that this time I won’t have any problems.

I’m unsure if it was mentioned here, but I have an account on myspace if anyone is interested (When Day Descends @ MySpace). There are a few tracks up there that can be downloaded here anyway and a bit of out-of-date info which I may update soon, but I’m sure there is some use for it.

“Transcend” Delayed

Well I received the CDs and everything seemed set to go on the 22nd as planned. Unfortunately once it got to the final two tracks I began noticing small skips and pops. These are unfortunately way too distracting to leave in there so I will of course be remedying this and will aim to have a second batch within a week. Sorry to those awaiting this album, I’m disappointed and very keen to have this released too!

New Track & Split EP Announced

A track taken from the album is now available to download! This is a previously unreleased track called Suppression, an 8+ minute track which explores many of the themes touched during the debut. It can be downloaded here (11.7mb) or from the downloads section. I greatly welcome any opinions posted to the guestbook or forums!

For those wondering about a release date for this album, I endeavour to get this printed up very soon. It should be available within a week or two.

In other news, When Day Descends is set to appear on a split EP later this year. This will feature other upcoming bands Sepia Dreamer, DIE and Criseshift with 2 songs from each band. More details will be made available as they are figured out.

“Transcend” Completed

After 3+ years work the When Day Descends album “Transcend” has finally been completed. The master was received earlier this week and is sounding great. I will be making a smaller ‘promo’ run of this album within the next week or two. I’ll also upload a complete unreleased track in the next few days.
